The Imperative Messages from RSNA’s 2011 Annual Meeting

Mariano Maluf, Chief Technology Officer of Global Net Access, shares his experience

Dec. 12, 2011 - PRLog -- Chicago, Ill. Dec. 1, 2011:  The 97th Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting hosted by the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) brought out a plethora of new data, articles and papers for the more than 50,000 conference attendees, sponsors and exhibitors. Amongst the guests was Mariano Maluf, Chief Technology Officer of Global Net Access (GNAX). Maluf manned the GNAX booth at the assembly that offered attendees factual information about cloud computing and storage.
“…RSNA is an experience every healthcare IT professional should enjoy,” said Maluf. “The confluence of technology and medical advances show no sign of the economic slow-down or healthcare reform concerns”.
Maluf was able to summarize the four most important takeaways from the annual meeting:

The first idea describes how radiologists would comply with Meaningful Use; the second relates to cloud-based PACS for digital media imaging; the third key takeaway is how to share, collaborate and exchange images; and lastly, was the many technological and medical advances coming in the future for the field such as virtual and holographic imaging technology.

The Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting of RSNA is the world's premier scientific and educational forum in radiology. The 98th Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting will be held Nov. 25-30, 2012 in Chicago, Ill.
