Colonial Bank FSB Partners with Local Organizations For Holiday Food Drives to Help Those in Need
Colonial Bank FSB, with 9 branches throughout southern New Jersey, has announced holiday partnerships with five local organizations that provide food to those who might otherwise go hungry this season
Ed Geletka, President of Colonial Bank FSB, said each of the organizations reach different segments of southern New Jersey, thereby ensuring that the bank helps those in need. “We chose to partner with these organizations because we know about the good work they do in the community and Colonial Bank is happy to play a part helping to make the holidays a little brighter,” Geletka said.
This year, Colonial Bank FSB will support the efforts of the United Methodist Church of Mantua, St. Andrews Episcopal Church, the Soup Kitchen of Vineland, and the Salvation Army in both Vineland/Millville and Bridgeton.
To help these organizations, community members can donate their non-perishable canned or dry goods at any of Colonial Bank FSB’s nine branches located throughout southern New Jersey.
The Salvation Army in Vineland/Millville and Bridgeton are there to lend a helping hand and provide food and shelter for those who are struggling. And while the holiday season is a time of joy and celebration, too many families struggle to make ends meet. This year we will help more families to be thankful and assist parents in bringing the joy of Christmas to children in need. We welcome you to join us in providing hope and help to others. In Bridgeton, call 856-451-0999. In Vineland/Millville, call 856-696-8822.
United Methodist Church of Mantua is a non-profit organization whose primary focus is to feed the needy in Cumberland County. The food bank is open year round on Tuesdays and Fridays, and the United Methodist Church of Mantua asks that families call Becky Langer at 856-468-2711 to set up an appointment prior to visiting.
St. Andrews Episcopal Church is located at 186 East Commerce St. in Bridgeton. Many children depend on school breakfast and lunch programs for their weekday meals, and during school holidays this food support is lacking. St. Andrews Episcopal Church plans to provide a lunch-kit to low-income neighborhood school children to bridge the gap between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
Soup Kitchen of Vineland Auxiliary is a not-for-profit organization located at 1590 Shadow Lane, Vineland, NJ. The organization advocates, raises money and volunteers for non-profit organizations that help our neighbors cope with poverty, hunger, loneliness, homelessness, pain, violence and abuse. The members lend a hand wherever it is needed and let people know that someone cares. To learn more about the organization, call 856-690-5509.
Colonial Bank FSB began in 1913 as a small mortgage association in downtown Bridgeton. It is now a full-service community bank with nine locations in the heart of South Jersey.
