Dec. 9, 2011 - PRLog -- Government research suggests the UK’s manufacturing industry could ‘struggle’ to maximise opportunities in the international export market - with many businesses facing challenges to grow their profile overseas.
Now the Internet marketing experts at ClickThrough Marketing are hoping to help this vital industry – the third largest in the UK – with a free web-based seminar explaining important strategies to tap into global markets online.
Earlier this year, the UK Government set out its priorities to help manufacturing companies grow their exports to maximise revenue. Among these priorities are two key aims: to increase manufacturing in the UK, and to make the UK the leading exporter of high value goods in Europe.
These are lofty ambitions – but with China and India both growing rapidly, and looking to import more expensive, high-quality goods, there are tangible routes available to help the UK’s manufacturing industry capitalise on international opportunities.
ClickThrough Marketing believes its free webinar will help equip UK manufacturers with successful strategies to make the most of overseas markets. The company has established itself as a leading internet marketing firm, helping clients in more than 27 countries promote their businesses online.
The 25-minute masterclass, presented by ClickThrough’s founder Phil Robinson, is designed to help UK manufacturers improve their online visibility overseas, and drive up sales and exports.
It is completely free to sign up. To register, visit http://www.clickthrough-marketing.com/exportwebinar. All attendees will receive copies of ClickThrough Marketing’s expert guides to search engine marketing and pay per click, worth £30.
The webinar, to be held on December 13, will focus on six key strategies:
•   Online Marketing Matters to You – Why every manufacturing company, without exception, is in a battle to find customers on the internet.
•   Sizing Up the Opportunity – How to use free tools to discover how many people are looking for your products.
•   Creating a Successful Sales Process – Choosing the lead generation strategy that will work for your manufacturing business.
•   Using Video to Pre-Sell – How to use educational online videos and YouTube to engage with customers before they know they are ready to buy.
•   Selling Abroad – Using Google Adwords, LinkedIn and Facebook to grow revenue from international customers.
•   Accountable Marketing – Learn which of your marketing activities are driving sales using easy online tracking techniques.
Phil Robinson is an online marketing consultant with more than 17 years of experience in marketing, planning, internet strategy and online acquisition. ClickThrough currently help clients including Nectar, Halfords and Peugeot with their online strategies, including SEO, PPC, conversion optimisation, content and social media.
Phil said that recent Government research into the UK’s export and manufacturing landscape highlighted the need for companies like ClickThrough to inform businesses about maximising the potential of the internet.
"There is an immense amount of pressure on UK manufacturing and export businesses to help bring the country out of recession,” Phil explained. “Finding business and partners abroad is essential in this difficult economic climate.
“An effective online marketing strategy is vital to build and maintain an international profile. We have put together this webinar to show businesses how to reach customers in the UK and abroad using simple strategies that will bring real results.”
The Government’s Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) produced the Manufacturing in the UK: An economic analysis of the sector report in December 2010.
It states: “UK manufacturers may face barriers to internationalism. Firms may not be fully aware of the potential benefits of exporting, and lack the knowledge and capacity to successfully exploit overseas opportunities.
“Business looking to export may experience difficulties gaining access to networks and contacts in overseas markets.
“By responding quickly to the new opportunities created by predicted changes in global demand and the emergence of new technologies, UK manufacturers can exploit first mover advantage, obtaining a larger share of new product and geographical markets.”
ClickThrough Marketing is confident the free webinar will help manufacturers learn more about how to capitalise on export markets.
