“Put the Fork in Hunger” to Launch Largest Toy Drive in Pasadena

Toys to benefit Five Acres, Union Station Homeless Services and Aids Service Center

Dec. 8, 2011 - PRLog -- (Altadena, Calif.)—The founders of the “Put the Fork in Hunger” food drive, which collected close to five tons of food for people in need, are set to launch the largest toy drive in Pasadena. From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, unwrapped toys at a value of $10 or more can be dropped off at the “Fork Plaza” on 200 Bellafontaine St. The “Put the Fork in Hunger” toy drive will benefit children and teens 5 to 17 years old and is a collaborative effort between the community and three local charities: Five Acres, Union Station Homeless Services and Aids Service Center.

The toy drive is led by Teles Properties real estate agent, Phillip Coombes. Teles Properties was formed in 2007 to create a dynamic partnership between client, agent and company –a partnership with purpose unlike any other. One of the main components is giving back to the community, which is part of the Teles’ Gives Back campaign. By developing an interactive relationship with the communities where they live, the real estate agency is able to make a difference and raise the experience for their clients to a whole new level of unparalleled service.

“Five Acres is grateful to the generous people of greater Los Angeles who are helping to ensure that abused, neglected and vulnerable children know that someone cares about them this holiday. Thank you for sharing the true spirit of the season,” said Cathy Clement, Director of Philanthropy at Five Acres.
