OPITO Grants Further Approval to Offshore Training Company

Dec. 8, 2011 - PRLog -- Having secured industry-recognised accreditation earlier this year for offshore survival, MIST and forklift skills training the trail-blazing company, which has yet to celebrate its first birthday, has followed this up with further accreditation from offshore industry standards body OPITO for helideck operations.

Following a recent audit by OPITO, this week Survivex received approval for a Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) course.  Training for personnel, who have responsibility for offshore helideck operations, takes place at Survivex’s 53,000 square foot facility at Dyce, Aberdeen, and is available to both companies and self-sponsor individuals.  In an industry where safety comes first, a skilled and knowledgeable work force is fundamental to maintaining a competitive edge, making this recent accreditation for Survivex relevant to the industry as a whole.
