Dec. 7, 2011 - PRLog -- Pierson Requirements Group has announced that they will be hosting a Data Requirements Skills seminar December 19-21. The course focuses on requirements gathering for data driven and data business intelligence projects and caters to those in the business analyst field. Broken down into three sessions, each one will prepare students for the accepted way of writing and analyzing business requirements for each phase of the project scope.
Students enrolled in the course will learn how to gather and write requirements for both data warehouse and data business intelligence projects using a combination of hands-on exercises and teacher-led discussions. After the course, students can take advantage of printable .pdf materials that will enhance the material and provide relevant examples. Students will also receive a Seminar Handbook that includes sample templates, guidelines and checklists that are necessary for requirements gathering.
The seminar is designed for such professionals as business managers, business analysts, project managers and business requirements leads. With a balance of real-world examples, practical exercises and meaningful discussions, students walk away with a newfound confidence for the various levels of requirements, the requirements management process and effective communication. Project scope definition, requirements gathering, reporting requirements and detailed requirements are just some of the levels that are covered in the Data Requirements Skills course that will successfully prepare students to handle each level.
The hands-on exercises and visual examples include data flow diagrams, tables, data models and context diagrams. Using these visuals, students are able to understand requirements gathering and how to present material in a clear, concise manner. To make the seminar even more constructive, the workshop is offered in a virtual format, combining an interactive plan and teacher-led environment that fosters growth, learning and understanding for business analysis employees. Each level of requirements is covered in full, and students are able to build their own logical data tables, data flow diagrams and traceability worksheets.
The course costs $750.00 per participant, and groups can take advantage of group discounts. Class size is limited to ten participants, offering the one-on-one interaction that helps each student flourish. The Data Requirements Skills course is just one of many that is offered by Pierson Requirements Group and covers requirements gathering. These workshops are a cost-effective solution for businesses wanting to provide their employees with a training seminar, but without the added cost of travel and lodging. PDUs, CPUs and Certificates are available upon completion.
