F. E. Moran Fire Protection Provides Hands-On Fire Protection System Training for Local Firefighters

Dec. 7, 2011 - PRLog -- The course was designed to provide fire fighters with ample knowledge about fire protection systems, from alarm and detection systems to suppression systems.  Instructors explained the essential functionality of alarm devices and how they are utilized to trigger various fire protection systems.  They also delved into the basic operation and proper shutdown of sprinkler systems such as dry pipe systems, pre-action systems, wet pipe systems and fire pumps.  Fire fighters were given the opportunity to work directly with the equipment at F. E. Moran’s training facility so that they could see the operation of the systems firsthand.  Additional subject matter included discussing the different types of sprinkler heads that are used with suppression systems, as well as delving into the various applications for each type.

F. E. Moran Fire Protection’s instructors have decades of industry experience, allowing them to impart a wealth of knowledge to attendees.  The company has been conducting fire protection system training sessions for a number of years, including regular courses designed for the Illinois Fire Service Institute.  Of the training sessions, instructor John Bridgman, who is a Service Manager for F. E. Moran Fire Protection, says: “It is our privilege to provide fire protection system training for professionals in the industry.  Our cutting-edge training facility enables trainees to work with the equipment in a hands-on environment, and subsequently apply tangible experience in the field.”

The most recent training session was highlighted on the City of Champaign’s website, where F. E. Moran was praised for their informative educational program.  It was reported that “Champaign firefighters gave an A+ grade to F. E. Moran Fire Protection” for their training program.
