Restored Hospitality of St. Julian Painting will be Loaned to the St. Francis Cathedral in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

On December 15, 2011, the recently restored painting: Hospitality of St. Julian, will be placed in St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, Green Bay, Wisconsin.

The Green Bay and De Pere Antiquarian Society http://www.antiquariansocietygbdp.org is pleased to announce that this beautiful, historical work of art now known as "The Hospitality of St. Julian" will be on indefinite loan to the Green Bay Catholic Diocese Bishop Wysislo Center in downtown Green Bay, on the corner of Monroe and Walnut Street.

The placement of this piece of restored art http://www.antiquariansocietygbdp.org/restored_art_44.html will begin at approximately 9:15 a.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2011. The hanging process will begin after painting is transported to the Bishop Wysislo Center.  The Cathedral and museum staff will initiate the measurements and process for placement.

The painting, weighing close to 75 pounds, will be hung by a minimum of three men.  The actual hanging process will take about 1 hour.

After the painting is hung, the story boards that were part of this painting exhibit at the Neville in 2009 will be placed on the adjoining wall space.

Father John Girotti will join the project after the 8:30 a.m. Mass.  Tables of eight will be available for seating, and coffee will be served.

Representatives of the Green Bay and De Pere Antiquarian Society will be present to also document this historic placement of our painting.
