-- Every year, thousands of children experience a Christmas morning with no gifts to open. To help tackle this crisis, ABC7 and Southland firefighters host the “Spark of Love Toy Drive.” With love and support of “Spark of Love Toy Drive” donors and sponsors, children across Southern California will receive a new toy each holiday season.
The “Spark of Love Toy Drive” will be held at Exchange LA Nightclub Thursday Dec 8,2011 at 618 S. Spring St. Los Angeles from 6pm to midnight. The event will feature the Soto Band and a DJ throughout the night. There is a $20 entry fee or bring an unwrapped gift valued at $20. All proceeds will benefit the Spark of Love Toy Drive.
This year Exchange LA has teamed up with the Los Angeles Fire Department to make this event a successful drive for the cause. Over 20 VIP tables have been sponsored by local businesses and organizations. A few tables are still available for purchase. Contact Exchange LA for more information. (213) 627-8070
This year several local eateries have come onboard to support the cause. This year’s food will be courtesy of Onyx, Mediterranean City Grill, Ensenada, The Crocker Club, Artisian House and Desserts by Master Cake Bake shop. With help from “Spark of Love Toy Drive” donors, partners and sponsors, more than 500,000 toys were collected last year. This year, ABC7 hopes to double this number.
