New Revenue Opportunities Surface for Emergency Spill Responders

Dec. 5, 2011 - PRLog -- Last month, Legends Environmental Insurance Services introduced spill responders across the United States and Canada to their SpillConnect website.  SpillConnect partners Legends with Spill Center, a 24 hour resource for companies who handle hazardous materials, chemicals and fuel and who need access to spill response specialists.

This new program offers companies involved with environmental spill response services access to new opportunities and revenue sources.  “During just the first 24 hours, close to 50 companies signed up to be a spill responder resource for companies in need of these services,” reported Brian Mcfarland, Vice President of Legends Environmental Insurance Services.  “The program allows these companies to be a potential provider of their services to thousands of firms across North America.  This entire service is offered at no charge to spill responders.  Legends reasoning for developing the SpillConnect website and partnership with Spill Center was to find a way to give back to our clients and potential future clients like no other insurance company in the industry is capable of doing,” he continued.

Spill responders do not need to be insured by Legends to participate in the program.  The program is open to all.  Spill responders who do take advantage of Legends’ preferred rate insurance services are eligible to become Priority SpillConnect Responders.  These “priority” listed companies will have a host of benefits in addition to their special designation.  These include
