Bridgeport Village Announces Charity Shopping Event
Bridgeport Village, Portland’s premier shopping and dining destination announces the return of its annual charity-shopping event. Making Spirits Bright will take place December 10 and 11.
Bridgeport Village shoppers are invited to shop for charity and purchase a $10 bracelet at the gazebo in center court. Bracelet purchases include exclusive discounts at participating Bridgeport Village retailers and 100% of proceeds will benefit featured non-profits, Candlelighters for Children with Cancer and Project Pooch. Shoppers will choose which non-profit organization their bracelet purchase will benefit.
“Making Spirits Bright is such an important event for Bridgeport Village. It’s an opportunity to partner with our customers and support our community during the holidays,” said Fred Bruning, CEO of CenterCal Properties, owners of Bridgeport Village.
Established in Oregon in 1977, Candlelighters for Children with Cancer provides support, education, advocacy and hope to families with children battling cancer. The December 10 Breakfast with Santa will benefit Candlelighters and the thousands of family served.
Project Pooch, the organization befitting from the December 17 Breakfast with Santa, provides opportunities for youth in corrections to develop personal and vocational skills through caring for and training shelter dogs for adoption. The program not only helps rehabilitate ready youth to become responsible, productive community members, but also saves the lives of hundreds of dogs.
