Dec. 4, 2011 - PRLog -- With 11 months down and only 1 to go we are getting a good picture of what 2011 is going to look like for the sales figures.  November saw no major changes or upsets or really anything for that matter.  Just more of a good thing.

Trucks continue to lead the sales front with sales being dominated by fleets and commercial industries.  F-Series takes the top spot with 47,740 sold in November and more than a half million so far this year.  The Silverado was number two with 34,251 sales last month and over 350,000 so far this year.

For cars were the usual suspects, the Toyota Camry and Nissan Altima were the top two sellers last month with 23,440 and 20,613, respectively.  Each having about a quarter of a million sales this year.  To round out the top ten were the Escape, Ford Fusion, Dodge, Ram, Honda Civic, Honda CR-V, and Toyota Corolla.  The Chevy Cruze was the biggest gainer among cars this month with an increase in sales of 64.1% of November 2010.  The Jetta makes a nice jump to 17 overall and 10 for cars.  The Explorer was the biggest gainer among all vehicles with a gainof 217% over last year and is up 141% over last year.

Now that 2011 is nearly over we have a pretty good idea of the best selling brands in the United States.  Ford leads the way with almost 1.9M units so far and over 160,000 for the month of November.  Chevy slightly behind them with 1.6M for the year and nearly 130,000 in the month.  Toyota rounds out the top 3 with 1.3M and 115,000, respectively.  All three of these brands still relying heavily on fleet sales.

The five biggest gainers for the month of November are;

   Chrysler – up 92.2% (up 7.1% YTD)
   Mini – up 70.5% (up 25.4% YTD)
   Jeep – up 49.8% (up 44.4% YTD)
   Mercedes – up 46.2% (up 15.2% YTD)
