“Fat Assassins” Takes Aim at Positive Self Esteem

Alexandria, VA (December 4, 2011) -- In a society where overwhelming pro-thin campaigns continue to destroy women’s self esteem, the world is overdue for strong plus-size female heroines.
By: Marita Fowler

Dec. 4, 2011 - PRLog -- Fat Assassins is the first book to promote realistic female action heroes devoid of typical svelte physiques.

Marita Fowler has crafted a hilarious story of two country girls trying to navigate unemployment, stereotypes, dysfunctional family members, and small town politics to stay alive. She brings southern charm to the forefront of her action-packed novel while maintaining a believable storyline as seen through the eyes of the modern woman.

“There is a sweet naivete I had growing up in a small town (Harriman, TN), that sheltered me from some of the darker elements of the world. I wrote the characters to keep that innocence, so the readers could grow with them through each adventure. This is how the world was unveiled to me after I left Harriman to join the Navy.”

This is the first of a planned series of fat adventure books where the characters navigate sticky situations, armed only with their big booties, wit and friendship.

Fowler will be hosting a virtual launch party for Fat Assassins 10-11 December. She has an appearance scheduled at the BBW Bash in Las Vegas in July.
