About Pam

The concept for this company has been in the back of my mind for many years. Ever since I can remember, I was always trying to “improve” items bought off the shelf. As a kid I would do things like cut up a brand new pair of jeans and then artfully design patterns on them with bleach (my mother was NOT pleased!), or wear a sweater as a skirt (weird, I know now). I’m never satisfied with the status quo and constantly push the boundaries of everyday items, always transforming them into something extraordinary.

I’ve been a professional interior designer for over 20 years and have a keen interest in fashion and textiles. I can’t go anywhere without touching the fabric, walls, or anything else that catches my eye. You can hear me “Ooohing” and “Ahhing” all over the place, straining my neck to see all the details. So, it seemed a natural progression to transition from buying products for my clients to creating signature pieces of my own.

I’m always drawn to graphic lines and beautiful silhouettes. My inspiration comes from so many places, that anything can spark a new idea or design. Many times, I will look to architecture or vintage pieces for an idea. Every piece I design has a touch of whimsy in it, something unexpected. I think that is what keeps it interesting, so you see something new every time you look at it.

I have been fortunate to work across many industries, which is a dream come true! I enjoy learning new things and working on many different products allows me to do this. PD designs can currently been seen on cell phone cases, wallets, handbags, furniture and car interiors. What’s next? Who knows, but one thing is for sure, it’s never dull in my studio!

My local community is very important to me. I am an active volunteer in the design industry because I have a huge appreciation for the profession. Recently, I have gotten involved with local charities and created a charity program called Bags 4 Better. I am so excited to help make a difference in my community!
