Follow on Google News | BIG ARTS Community Band Makes Merry MusicBIG ARTS Community Band Director Don Knowland invites all to enjoy the music ofthe season at the Holiday Concert 7 p.m. Tuesday, December 13 at BIG ARTS on Sanibel.
By: BIG ARTS BIG ARTS Community Band will to perform many marches and holiday favorites including National Emblem March, Beneath the Holly, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, O Holy Night, The Footlifter March, and Hey Man, Christmas Swings. The concert will also feature solos by Hannah Czoski, Terry Flannery, Joan Knowland, and Kathy Lamado. The Community Band was formed in January 2003, under the aegis of Laverne Phillips, Tom Uhler, and Don Knowland. The Community Band has grown from a handful of players to more than 30 musicians during season, most of who travel from “the mainland” for rehearsals and performances. Tickets for adults are $7, Children 17 and under are free with adult. The Community Chorus Holiday Concert will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, December 8. Both concerts are in BIG ARTS Schein Performance Hall, located at 900 Dunlop Road, Sanibel.
