He has an overbearing mother that keeps him close at hand because of his seizures, and the kids at school bully him every chance they get. Then during a seizure he wakes up in New York City just in time to talk with a girl who has just jumped to her death. Leon quickly learns that his seizures have a purpose. He is expected to help the dead make it to the gateway while fighting off various creatures and demons along the way. Leon does all this while still dealing with school, some friends, and trying to talk to the girl he likes. The book’s style will appeal to boys, girls, and the young at heart.
