TrackTown12 Official Power Anthem Contest for the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials – Track & Field

Nov. 30, 2011 - PRLog -- EUGENE, Ore. –  Whether you’re Running Down a Dream or simply Born to Run, the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Track & Field is seeking aspiring musicians who want to rock TrackTown by entering the TrackTown12 Power Anthem Contest.

The TrackTown USA Local Organizing Committee (LOC) and Oregon Track Club (OTC) have announced that Eugene radio stations 104.7 KDUK and 101.5 KFLY will be conducting the TrackTown12 Power Anthem Contest. Sponsored by Bicoastal Media, owners of Eugene radio stations 104.7 KDUK and 101.5 KFLY, the contest will select the official power anthem of TrackTown12. To enter the contest, musicians must submit a :30 to :60 second video audition via the KDUK or KFLY websites at kduk.com and kflyfm.com. All entries must be received by midnight December 22, 2011.

KDUK's Morning House Party with Chino and Meg and KFLY's afternoon Donkey Show will lead the search for the official TrackTown12 Power Anthem. Listeners will vote on the video performances between December 23, 2011 and January 5, 2012 and select two acts to compete in the finals during halftime at a University of Oregon basketball game in January.

Finalists will be judged by a celebrity panel. The winning act will be awarded two all-session tickets to the 8-day trials in Eugene, an invitation to perform the official anthem at TrackTown12 promotional events and bragging rights for penning the Official TrackTown12 Anthem.

"As radio stations in Eugene, 104.7 KDUK and 101.5 KFLY are in the unique position of being in a city that loves track and field and is also bursting with musical talent and creativity," said Larry Rogers market manager of Bicoastal Media owners of KDUK and KFLY. “The Power Anthem contest is a really exciting way to start celebrating TrackTown12 coming to Eugene.”

Tickets Remain for Trials
All-session tickets to TrackTown12 are expected to sell out, so fans are encouraged to purchase ticket packages as early as possible. All-session ticket packages are available online at TrackTown12.com, by phone at 800-932-3668 or in Eugene at the University of Oregon Autzen Stadium south ticket building only. Single-day tickets will be available in Spring 2012.
