The 2011 Latino Entrepreneurial Network Exito Awards Sold Out, Winners to be Announced. Business Champions Recognized & Awarded by Local Entrepreneurs
Nov. 30, 2011 - PRLog -- November 30, 2011 - On the evening of December 2, 2011, the Latino Entrepreneurial Network (LEN) of SE WI will celebrate another year of success and growth at their sold out sixth annual Exito Awards.  Winners of various awards will be recognized by the rapidly growing Latino Entrepreneurial Network (LEN) of SE WI.  This awards celebration will have a famous local person as the MC, Mark Concannon, a studio host and sideline reporter for the Milwaukee Brewers and Bucks telecasts on Fox Sports Wisconsin, Executive Producer at Real to Reel Videoworks and he worked for 23 years as a sports and news anchor at Fox 6. Spanish translation for the event will be provided by Sandra Dempsey, President of Metro Mechanical.  This event’s keynote speaker will be Jennifer Tarazon, Director of the US Hispanic Chamber Foundation, and be held at the at the Oak Creek Community Center.

“The Exito Awards is a tradition that recognizes those who have been integral in the growth of the Latino Entrepreneurial Network“ stated Nelson Soler, LEN Founding Executive Director. In addition to the awards ceremony, there will be entertainment by DJ Relajo as well as Jose Betancio, a Latin singer impersonator. The 200 participants can participate in excellent networking settings as well as a silent auction.

Funds and donations raised help fund LEN’s yearly Youth Camp as well as their bilingual business events. “Our sponsors have helped us tremendously over the past few years. Our Youth Camp will benefit directly from our donations received tonight”, states Christopher M. Castillo, founding LEN Board Member and owner of Aeutus Marketing and Castillo Consulting Services. This past summer, LEN completed the sixth annual summer camp to assist local young adults in starting their own business.

This Bilingual Entrepreneurship Summer Training (BEST) Youth Camp brings young talent together to participate in an advanced business training experience. Pending funding, LEN is considering creating a paid internship for the some youth camp participants that will teach them valuable skills that can help our businesses grow such as accounting and bookkeeping skills.  These students could not only be getting valuable business expeirence, but they could also help some of our micro-entreprises with services they may try to do themselves to save money.  

The event will be sponsored by US Bank, PNC, Prudential, and Multicultural Entrepreneurial Institute (MEI).
