Education of Groom and Looks of Bride Still Among the Top Most Consideration in Arranged Marriages
A recent survey by Jeevansathi.com on factors taken into consideration while looking for a prospective life partner.
Commenting on the findings of the study Rohit Manghnani, Business Head at Jeevansathi.com said,” In the changing era of arranged marriages it is very astonishing to find that caste and religion continue to play such an important role in arranged marriages. The primary reason for this mindset would be parents’ influence on the decision. Women on the other hand are very particular about a secure life which is why education and income are key factors taken into consideration by them.”
Of the male respondents who took the survey 38% said that physical appearance of the bride is a key factor considered by them when looking for a life partner. Education of the girl also emerges important with 32% of men voting for the same. Income and Profession seem to be least imp to men when they are evaluating a prospective bride.
