Bridgeport Village Breakfast With Santa To Benefit Charities

Bridgeport Village, Portland’s premier shopping destination, announces Breakfasts with Santa. Breakfasts will be hosted Dec. 3 at Native Foods, Dec. 10 at Romano’s Macaroni Grill and Dec. 17 at California Pizza Kitchen from 8:30 – 9:45 a.m.

Nov. 29, 2011 - PRLog -- TIGARD, Ore. – Bridgeport Village, Portland’s premier shopping and dining destination, announces the return of the annual Breakfast with Santa events. Breakfasts will be hosted December 3 at Native Foods, December 10 at Romano’s Macaroni Grill and December 17 at California Pizza Kitchen; breakfasts are from 8:30 – 9:45 a.m.

Kids and families are invited to join Santa for breakfasts in support of local non-profit organizations; proceeds from each Breakfast with Santa benefits a charity. The breakfast at Native Foods, a new vegan restaurant at Bridgeport Village, will benefit Easter Seals; Romano’s Macaroni Grill breakfast will benefit Candlelighters for Children with Cancer; and California Pizza Kitchen ticket sales will benefit Project Pooch.

Tickets for Breakfast with Santa are $10 per person and include entertainment with Radio Disney, a visit with Santa who will be giving away gifts and a ride on the Bridgeport Express solar-powered Holiday train.

“Bridgeport Village is looking forward to hosting Breakfast with Santa again this year. The events are wonderful for not only kids and families, but for the charities whose holidays are brightened by their successes,” said Kiki Hanover, Regional Marketing Director of CenterCal Properties, owners of Bridgeport Village.

Tickets for Breakfast with Santa may be purchased by visiting the Guest Services kiosk or calling (503) 968-1704. Seating is limited.

Easter Seals, the non-profit benefitting from the December 3 breakfast, helps individuals with disabilities and special needs and their families live better lives. For nearly 90 years, a network of more than 550 centers has offered Easter Seal recipients medical rehabilitation, employment and training opportunities, recreational outreach and services for children, adults and seniors with disabilities or special needs.

Established in Oregon in 1977, Candlelighters for Children with Cancer provides support, education, advocacy and hope to families with children battling cancer. The December 10 breakfast will benefit Candlelighters and the thousands of family served.

Project Pooch, the organization befitting from the December 17 breakfast, provides opportunities for youth in corrections to develop personal and vocational skills through caring for and training shelter dogs for adoption. The program not only helps rehabilitate ready youth to become responsible, productive community members, but also saves the lives of hundreds of dogs.

All Aboard The Bridgeport Express
Holiday shoppers will be invited to climb aboard the 35-passenger, solar-operated holiday train and ride it to their destinations in Bridgeport Village. The Bridgeport Express is a 40-foot-long trackless passenger train with four-foot wide cars to accommodate children and adults. Rides are free and available for riders of all ages.

Photos with Santa
Children are invited to visit Santa in his new home, built by the Home Builders Association Professional Remodelers Organization in center court. Making Spirits Bright
Bridgeport Village will host the annual Making Spirits Bright fundraising and shopping weekend to benefit Candlelighters for Children with Cancer and Project Pooch. Wristbands will be available for $10; 100% of the proceeds will benefit the participating charity of purchaser’s choice.
