“Green” Sports Cars? Is That Possible?

Nov. 28, 2011 - PRLog -- With the 2012 Auto show coming up in Los Angeles, there is a lot of pressure for high performance vehicles, that are also green and environmentally friendly.

Everyone knows high performance vehicles need custom exhausts, and everyone getting a performance vehicle has their particular mechanics that they tend to go to, not just for vehicle repair, but for the exhaust repair and custom exhaust work they want.

Some of the new environmentally friendly sports cars being produced, like a new Porsche model, is able to go from zero to sixty in just over four seconds, and will get an estimated fifteen percent better mileage than the previous models, because of improvements such as direct injection, reduced aerodynamic drag and lowered tire friction. Porsche is not the only one going for these types of modifications.

Mechanics and car manufacturers alike know that we are heading for clean green cars, whether performance vehicles or not. We need vehicles that can run clean, and have a custom exhaust that is more environmentally friendly.

More and more people are not just looking for your average car repair any more. They are looking for a whole new type of vehicle and auto manufacturers that are not with this program will fall behind. Manufacturers that are on this train, will set the pace. Other luxury manufacturers, such as Land Rover and Jaguar are also following this trend and have some very eco friendly models coming up the pike, including a new plug-in model.

Some years ago, people wanting performance vehicles found mechanics to do custom exhaust work and that was that. If you were an auto repair place and you specialized in muffler repair, than that was what was needed.

The question will be if the new environmentally friendly vehicles will be able to perform similarly to the previous models. It is very important that mechanics and auto manufacturers stand beside car enthusiasts and help to get the proper performance out of eco friendly vehicles!
