Nov. 28, 2011 - PRLog -- FosterParentCollege.com®’s sister site, SocialLearning.com®, has been completely redesigned to provide a state-of-the-art online shopping experience.
“We are a very small company – our whole focus is foster, adoptive and kinship care and independent living – but we now offer one of the most advanced retail shopping sites on the Web,” said Lee White, President and CEO of SocialLearning.com’s parent company, Northwest Media, Inc. “Small doesn’t mean you can’t do big things. Visitors to the new site can search for products on a rolling display, read in-depth descriptions, watch previews of most items, and fill a shopping cart, all without leaving the front page of the site. Visitors who prefer a more traditional listing of products can click “View in List.”
Despite the technological advances, SocialLearning.com® remains an old-fashioned small business with in-house staff answering the phones and filling orders. In addition, the cost of the upgrades was not passed on to customers, who still pay a flat shipping fee in the US of $16.50 for all orders, regardless of the size of the order. Product prices have held steady.
SocialLearning.com® markets all DVDs and books produced by Northwest Media, Inc., as well as carefully selected products by other vendors.
