UFO Abductee Travis Walton to Speak in San Antonio on March 3, 2012
Travis Walton, who says he was abducted by aliens and spent five days aboard their spaceship, will be the keynote speaker at the "Fire in the Sky" symposium in San Antonio, Texas, on March 3, 2012, sponsored by the Texas Mutual UFO Network (MUFON).
By: Noe Torres
On the evening of November 5, 1975, 22-year-old Travis Walton was among a group of loggers in an Arizona forest that observed a strange, bright light hovering above the tree line. Intensely curious, Walton left the safety of the loggers’ truck and walked toward the source of the light, which turned out to be a large, circular UFO. As his co-workers watched in terror, Walton was blasted by a powerful bolt of energy that shot down at him from the strange object.
Walton's companions, afraid after seeing Walton hit by the beam, fled the area in haste and reported what happened to the local sheriff. A massive manhunt ensued in the surrounding forest but no trace of Walton could be found. Suspicion of foul play grew as the days passed without Walton being located.
Five days later, Walton mysteriously re-appeared and began telling a frightful story of being abducted by extraterrestrials. He said that, after being struck by the strange light beam in the forest, he had awakened inside what he thought was a hospital, where he was surrounded by creatures that were clearly not human. He attempted to escape but could not.
His strange captors finally returned Walton to Arizona, near the spot where he had been taken, but only after rendering him unconscious with some kind of gas. When he awoke, feeling very disoriented, he was shocked to hear that he had been gone for five days.
Walton’s encounter is one of the world’s most studied and best known UFO abduction cases. He travels all over the world telling his story at UFO conferences and events. His appearance in San Antonio is a rare opportunity to hear first-hand the inside details of one of the most thrilling and well-researched UFO abduction cases.
