Heaven and Earth Cleaning Services LLC Gets Coveted SBA 8(a) Certification

The 8(a) certification is so desirable, because businesses who receive this certification are eligible to go out for single source or no bid Federal contracts.    Named for Section 8(a) of the Federal Small Business Act, this program was created to help small and disadvantaged businesses compete in the marketplace, according to the SBA.gov website. A business is designated financially disadvantaged if the primary owner has a net worth of $250,000 or less, not including ownership of the business. A business owner is assumed socially disadvantaged if he or she is African-Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian Pacific Americans, Native Americans (American Indians, Eskimos, Aleuts, or Native Hawaiians), and Subcontinent Asian Americans.
