Horizon Yacht Charters BVI supports wounded UK soldiers

Nov. 24, 2011 - PRLog -- Horizon Yacht Charters has announced details of its involvement in inviting a group of operational casualties from the Household Cavalry Regiment to their base in the British Virgin Islands.  The soldiers, from the Windsor-based Regiment in the UK have all been seriously wounded in action whilst serving in Afghanistan and are now in the process of rehabilitating from their injuries.

The soldiers will be accompanied by the Regimental Medical Officer and two other members of the Regiment who are qualified sailing instructors, however most of the crew have never sailed before.  The Medical Officer, Surgeon Lieutenant-Colonel Jeremy Lewin stated that “This trip provides a great opportunity for the soldiers to realise that although their lives may have changed as a result of their injuries, there are still plenty of opportunities  for them and chances to take up new activities “
