Nov. 23, 2011 - PRLog -- 23rd November 2011, Syon Park London: The Garden Centre Group is celebrating its commitment to supporting British farmers and producers by creating its ‘Best of British’ Christmas menu. With 91 of the Group’s 130 garden centres having its own restaurant, a fresh home-made festive meal is never far away.

Traditional Festive Lunch, Mince Pies and Father Christmas:
The focus on British grown and sourced food is year-round and the Christmas seasonal menu offers excellent British produce. Until 23rd December, customers can enjoy a delicious Christmas lunch with all the trimmings.

“We have a wonderful selection of traditional and festive favourites to tempt you,” said Costas Constantinou, Head of Restaurants for The Garden Centre Group, “including traditional roast British turkey served with sage and onion stuffing, home-made Scottish salmon Wellington with chive butter, British bacon and sausage rolls, and home-made vegetarian Homity pie made with potato, creamed leeks and Cheddar cheese. Or simply enjoy a coffee or tea and home-made mince pie. We want to ensure our customers are able to take time out from their shopping, relax and have a delicious, home-made Christmas meal.”

The Group is also offering breakfast and tea with Father Christmas at all its restaurants this year from the 3rd through to 23rd December, where children can spend a magical time with him. The meal includes a gift for each child from Father Christmas, a chance to decorate a gingerbread biscuit, a fun colouring-in activity sheet and a satsuma. Children also receive an ‘I’ve seen Father Christmas’ badge as a happy reminder of the occasion.

The Garden Centre Group is now taking bookings for Christmas Lunch and for Breakfast and Tea with Father Christmas in all its restaurants and recommends reserving space early to avoid disappointment. Full details on Christmas lunch and breakfast or tea with Father Christmas, including full menus and pricing, can be found at www.thegardencentregroup.co.uk.

Best of British at the Garden Centre Group:
The Garden Centre Group across the UK offers good-quality food and is committed to supporting British farmers and producers. Pride is taken in only serving British beef, turkey, lamb, ham and bacon in its restaurants and buying British whenever possible. Eggs, chicken and pork are free-range, the tuna is line-caught and the scones, soups and sandwiches are freshly-made daily.

“We take great pride in only serving British turkey in our restaurants and buying British whenever possible. Our food is freshly prepared and we believe our customers deserve the best quality food made from the best quality ingredients” said Costas Constantinou. “We aim to provide our customers with a relaxing and enjoyable experience and have designed our restaurants specifically to achieve this. Home-cooked seasonal menus and a friendly atmosphere are trademarks of our restaurants.”

Provenance statements, found in all the Group’s menus, show the origins of the fresh produce and meat, and every effort is made to source food locally and have it delivered fresh. For more information, visit www.thegardencentregroup.co.uk.
