Mirador Honors Local Veterans at Special Event

Nov. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Mirador, Corpus Christi’s first and only full service life care senior living community, recently hosted a special event to honor those veteran residents who gave their time and risked their lives so many years ago.  Mirador asked all resident veterans to provide any old photos, medals or other memorabilia which was then displayed for all to see.  Each resident and staff veteran was then recognized with a special pin, and the festivities concluded with a red, white and blue cake and refreshments.  

“The Veterans Day event proved to be a very special day,” said Janie Richards, lifestyles coordinator for Mirador.  “We have so many wonderful and amazing veterans that call Mirador home, and it was inspiring to hear their stories.  It was endearing to see the residents sharing their individual war time stories with each other.”
