The Bug Man, Martin Rapley, receives National recognition

Martin Rapley, The Bug Man has been awarded fellowship of the British Naturalists Association.
Nov. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Naturalist, wildlife presenter and author Martin Rapley, better known as The Bug Man, has recently been awarded Fellowship of The British Naturalists Association. Fellowship is awarded to those who have made a very significant contribution to the practise of, and our understanding of, natural history
Martin, also a Fellow of The Royal Entomological Society, from Beaumont Cum Moze near Colchester was Education Officer with Essex Wildlife Trust for fifteen years before leaving in 2003 to Launch Martin Rapley – Experience Science Live!
He now presents animal encounter science shows in schools and events throughout the UK. His shows include The Big Bug Experience, The Rainforest Show and The Reptiles Show. He has presented shows at The Science Museum and regularly presents the Animal Vision Show at The Natural History Museum. Other venues have included Kew Gardens and RHS Wisley.
His book ‘Martin the Bug Man’s Guide to Big Bugs’ is available online and to order from all book shops. His television appearances have included a report on a colony of scorpions at Sheerness docks in Kent.
Martin said “It’s amazing to be accepted as a Fellow of the Association and to be recognised by Britain’s most eminent naturalists”.
