Nov. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- German University Alliance (GUA) is the North American liaison office for award-winning universities, Freie Universität Berlin and Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. GUA’s new website fosters international exchange and extends academic bonds in North America and Canada with German counterparts. This site replaces a stagnant web experience based on an open source system with ReadyPortal, an enterprise content management system (CMS) renowned for its ease of use and implementation.

“We are very excited about our new site which best represents the design and usability experience we want,” said Priya Nayar, Communications Officer of GUA.

“Our previous site was cumbersome and as a result it was stuck in neutral. Based on the track record of other similar organizations, we are finally confident in our ability to build an information gateway for our academic community.”

In line with analogous German institutions such as the DAAD German Academic Exchange Service (www.daad.org) and the German Academic International Network (www.gain-network.org) with thriving online destinations for students and higher education professionals, GUA opted with ReadyPortal as its web platform of choice. As early adopters of ReadyPortal’s intuitive and scalable content management system, both organizations have grown their web presence through the years from traditional brochure sites to invaluable social networking and communication platforms.

“Efficient information delivery is the most important task for our site. Content management with ReadyPortal is quick and easy to maneuver, even for a non-technical user. Already the site looks great and we’re still in the process of building it. With a flexible system like ReadyPortal, we can match applications to requirements, on our own terms and in our own time” explained Nayar.

ReadyPortal has been supporting academic institutions on a global front since inception. Most clients cite extensive industry and technology expertise to ensure rapid implementation and enduring success of sites as the main draw of the system.

“Congratulations to GUA on the launch of their new site. We are excited that GUA is using our SaaS CMS along with social collaboration features to extend their reach in North America while creating a more dynamic web environment.  It is always our endeavor to help use technology to advance education and knowledge,” said Rajiv Chatterjee, CEO of ReadyPortal.
