Everything on this model is the same as the GSR46R racing scooter except the engine and the exhaust, which is made to be quieter than the bigger beefier engines. The resonator on the exhaust makes it much more “neighborhood friendly” by cutting back on the higher tones of the exhaust and silencing the peppy little 29cc two stroke engine. Goped’s best selling model is probably the Go-Ped Sport and then after that this unit.

The GSR Cruiser from Go-Ped is an excellent choice for the beginning scooter rider. The gearing is tuned for optimal commuting, acceleration, and range. Because the engine is smaller, the company decided to tighten up the gear ratio so that it will essentially perform the same as the GSR46R up to the top speed of 24 miles per hour. The GSR46R will go faster, but only in the top speed, as the larger engine can push taller gearing. The brakes on the GSR Cruiser are still the same as the Mad Dog Disk Brakes found on the GSR 46R, so the stopping power is more than sufficient.

With all of the high priced racing type Go-Ped models available, the GSR Cruiser gas powered scooter really extends affordable high quality performance to the beginning rider. The smaller motor and the quieter exhaust will provide smooth and subtle power that will not attract the attention of your neighbors, or law enforcement. The Cruiser is a perfect balance of performance and comfort for the rider to enjoy, but still can handle most situations like a pure-bred racing machine.
