This new release allows Ras users to leverage robust interactive eForms and dramatically reduce paper across the care cycle while minimizing the improper release of PHI.
By: Dbtech “In Ras 3.5, we have paid close attention to the simplicity of the user experience, and have included significant improvements to our eForms capabilities. Our goal is to help healthcare organizations move beyond the physical boundaries of paper-forms and into the limitless virtual capabilities of electronic forms,” says Philip N. Kaplan, CEO of dbtech. “Our early adopters are already reporting significant process efficiencies,” With Ras 3.5, dbtech has introduced three significant improvements to the Ras environment. First, is a user-centric facelift to the existing interface. “Ras 3.5 more closely resembles Microsoft paradigms, permitting greater user flexibility and a smooth learning curve,” explains Kaplan. The second major improvement addressed by 3.5 is forms management. To date, Ras has provided a powerful electronic forms library, merging patient data with barcode technology and allowing customers to gain control over forms while taking a critical step towards electronic medical records. “Forms Management is a critical component for EMR adoption, and is under the hood of every Ras implementation,” In Ras 3.5, Interactive eForms utilizes standard Adobe tools to move users beyond the constraints of paper. It allows organizations to implement electronic signatures, bedside registration and the integration of their forms library with any platform that can present PDF files – including mobile devices. Finally, dbtech has expanded its Ras Application Programming Interface (API) to the Web. Browser-based applications may now call upon the Ras API for enterprise content. In fact, Ras 3.5 has been designed to work with all commercial platforms as well as homegrown applications. Dbtech is a leading provider of solutions to manage, share and protect mission-critical content since 1983. The company’s Ras document management platform provides a central repository for a wide range of essential data – from legal documents and billing paperwork to clinical records. Over 150 community hospitals currently rely on Ras to optimize their revenue cycle by driving administrative costs out of their facility.
