Private Jet Charters Still On The Rise

Nov. 16, 2011 - PRLog -- Even with the current economic problems, the private jet charter industry is on the rise. Many industry leaders were showing a 30% increase in flight activity in just the first quarter of 2011. Half-year results had many jet charter companies coming in at over 35% in increases. Many of these company results are disproving reports in the media that the market is slow. The biggest rise for most companies has been in large jet charters.

Jet charters for business professionals have not slowed down. With impossible airport security measures, professionals are unable to get through airports quickly and easily; this is causing them to waste valuable time and miss work hours and, sometimes, important meetings. Many charter companies report that executives tend to hold meetings during flights. This is something that is just not possible on a commercial flight with no privacy. Executive flights are said to be the biggest market for many jet charter companies, and this market is continually growing.

The international market has also continued to grow in 2011. This is happening for a few different reasons. There is an unusual rise in families chartering jets out of the country for vacations. Many charter companies have opened locations in other countries. With a high number of evacuations necessary in Japan, Egypt, and other areas this year, numbers have been boosted.

While commercial airports are currently trying new ways to get passengers through lines faster, long lines will continue to be a major reason for more people to book private jets. Even with no positive outlook for the future of the economy, the private jet charter industry doesn’t seem to have problems.  As the year comes to an end, the industry is looking quite good, and industry leaders have no doubt that numbers will continue to exceed those of the previous year.
