The Holidays & Winter Are Near.....C.H.I.L.L. Frost Bite Prevention Drive

With the holiday season approaching us fast, most are worrying about buying that perfect gift for a loved one or planning perfect family dinners and holiday parties. However, this season brings different concerns for 1000's of Americans nationwide.

Nov. 16, 2011 - PRLog -- Many Americans have to worry about keeping themselves and their loved ones warm and safe from the bitter winter weather. It is time for everyone to step up and do our part to help those less fortunate. Remember to ask yourself one question, "What would Jesus do?"

Mr. CHILL needs your support America, over seven hundred people experiencing or at risk of homelessness are killed from hypothermia annually in the United States. About 44% percent of the nation’s homeless are unsheltered.


From the urban streets of our populated cities to the remote back-country of rural America, hypothermia remains a leading, critical and preventable cause of injury and death among those experiencing homelessness.


That is why this year for the first time ever in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, small business owners, other non-profit organizations, and local residents throughout the Midwest are supporting the CHILL Program (Creating Hope I Love Life) non-profit (501c3) foundations First Annual “Frost Bite Prevention Drive” !  Participating this year includes the new and eclectic record label and entertainment consulting firm D.A.M.G. ENT. LLC / Universal, CHILL Spokesperson and National recording artist Gregory Frazier, aka “G-B.A.L.L.” which stands for (Growing beyond All Life’s Limitations) a Chicago resident is also helping C.H.I.L.L. kick off the drive.


Residents and supporters are encouraged to donate new or lightly used socks, scarves, gloves, boots, mittens, ear muffs, hats, caps, or monetary donations to help during the cold keep this drive alive during the frigid winter season.


Founding supporters of the initiative in Milwaukee include Attorney Verona Swanigan, Dee, McCollum, of the The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center, local resident and business owner Young Tweezy Owner of “U Said It Sweet Shop”, Lameco Butler of Next Generation, Mary Vang Office Depot associate in West Allis, WI and respected humanitarian Redonna Rodgers, Founder of The Center For Teaching Entrepreneurship and several others.


All items donated will be taken to local homeless shelters, domestic violence centers and foster care facilities in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Chicago, Illinois for starters. The drive will take place November 15, 2011 through April 1, 2012 and will continue each year after!


The CHILL Program will provide participants with special CHILL drop off boxes, and a CHILL rep will pick up the boxes once filled and distribute accordingly. There are also Official Mr. CHILL Frost Bite Prevention Drive Bumper Stickers available for a $5.00 tax deductible donation to help keep the Frost Bite Prevention Drive Alive!
