The Marked Son Book Signing with Author Shea Berkley, Saturday, Nov. 26th at Alamosa Books

Nov. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- Albuquerque, New Mexico – On Saturday, November 26th, 2011, Shea Berkley, debut author with Entangled Publishing, will have a book signing event at Alamosa Books located at 8810 Holly Ave. NE, Ste. D, Albuquerque, New Mexico from 6:00pm – 7:00pm. The author will be on hand to chat with customers and sign copies of her Young Adult Urban Fantasy novel,The Marked Son.  This first novel in The Keepers of Life series is about an apathetic high school senior that must tap into his dormant magical abilities as a halfblooded fae before he loses the girl of his dreams – literally – to a tyrant who would be king.

"There's something about fantasy that stretches our imaginations. It allows us to conjure the impossible, to create infinite possibilities because the rules have suddenly been thrown out and redesigned,” explains Berkley. “I began Dylan's story firmly in reality. I wanted to ground the readers in a way that hopefully, when the magic appeared, they believed it was possible, and had them wondering what they would do if like circumstances happened to them."

Shea Berkley is currently working on the next book in the series, The Lost Prince, publishing in 2012. The Bastard King will complete the trilogy in 2013.

About the author: Shea Berkley started out writing nonfiction (not so fun) and quickly moved into fiction (totally fun), and knew she’d found her calling.
