Vacation Villas at FantasyWorld in Kissimmee Opens Multi-Million Dollar Amenities Complex

Nov. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- CENTRAL FLORIDA ATTRACTIONS AREA, Fla., November 15, 2011 – Owners and guests at Vacation Villas at FantasyWorld (VVFW) have some exciting entertainment and activities options for their next visit. Recently, the timeshare resort opened a $6 million water and amenities complex to add to the already popular amenities at the resort, such as FantasySurf.

The new amenities complex added a beach-entry pool, a 750-foot lazy river, two 35-foot water slides, kiddie splash pad, two hot tubs, a double-sided fireplace and 10 poolside cabanas that can be rented by the day. The pool bar was also enlarged and televisions were added so no one misses their favorite sporting event.

The amenities building completed as part of the project provides 12,000 square feet of new space.  It includes an owners’ lounge, game room, large workout area with sauna and steam rooms, and banquet facilities. Within the activities building, guests can purchase and play a round of virtual golf—18 holes in air conditioned comfort, with 20 courses from which to choose.

The amenities project, completed by Winter Park Construction and overseen by VVFW’s management company, SPM Resorts, took approximately 11 months to complete. It is the second major project the resort has undertaken since opening Fantasy Surf in 2010. SPM Resorts manages the operations and daily activities of the timeshare property, and works closely to guide the homeowner’s association board of directors during major renovation projects, such as the amenities complex.

“Our timeshare owners provided us with very clear directions and wants” stated Jeff Weinland, VVFW Board President.  “Most of the owners are parents and grandparents.  They wanted a resort that had activities to appeal to the multigenerational nature of families. Our board took this feedback from our owners and then SPM Resorts helped us determine the best way to make it happen—financially and operationally.”

Opened in September 2010, the resort’s Fantasy Surf attraction features the patented FlowRiderTM system that has the look of surfing and wakeboarding, the ride of snowboarding and the tricks of skateboarding—all within a safe and controlled environment.
