Cause Layouts™ Partners with Isaiah Alonso Foundation to Support Families of Children with Cancer

Nov. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Nov. 15, 2011 – The American Childhood Cancer Organization (ACCO) reports that 12,400 children are diagnosed with cancer in the United States each year . The out-of-pocket expenses associated with treatments cost families an average of $34,558 annually . To help shoulder the financial burden, two organizations, Cause Layouts™, the first and only free cause-based Facebook fundraising layouts, and the Isaiah Alonso Foundation, a nonprofit working to help families battling childhood cancer, are teaming up to generate viral awareness and raise funds. Cause Layouts has designed five free unique layouts to drive donations directly from supporters’ Facebook profile pages.

Starting today, supporters, fans and Facebook users can download any one of the five Isaiah Alonso Foundation layouts from Cause Layouts’ newly launched website http://causelayouts.com. Each layout highlights one specific family’s journey with cancer. For each original download of a layout, Cause Layouts will donate $1 back to the Isaiah Alonso Foundation. If 10,000 downloads are reached and remain displayed on users’ Facebook pages for a minimum of 30 days, Cause Layouts will raise its donation to $2 per download, equaling a minimum donation of $20,000.

The Isaiah Alonso Foundation was established in 2010 by Vinnie and Cheryl Alonso in honor of their six-year-old son, Isaiah. A true superhero with a contagious smile, Alonso collapsed in front of his parents on Sept. 3, 2010, due to complications from Lymphoma which had gone undiagnosed. He never regained consciousness. Inspired by their own story, the couple dedicated themselves to creating a nonprofit that not only supports families, but also assists with lightening the financial strain associated with cancer treatments.
