PRLog -- Atlanta, GA - The "Live Healthy & Thrive Youth Foundation" (LHTYF) will produce the 1st Annual Pinnacle Awards & Scholarship Gala in Atlanta on December 10, 2011 at the Clarkston Community Center. The ceremony will recognize members in the community who have reached the pinnacle of success in their chosen industries while giving back through philanthropic efforts. In addition, LHTYF is giving high school students from Atlanta Public Schools, who want to major in health-care, education or culinary arts, the opportunity to write an essay for the chance to win a "book stipend/scholarship"
toward their college education. Former President of the Atlanta School Board and current School Board Representative for District 1, Brenda Muhammad will be the guest speaker for the evening, Tracye Hutchins of CBS 46 to host, and international entrepreneur, philanthropist and author Germaine Moody will assist in handing out awards. "I'm thrilled about the opportunity to award high school students college scholarships, acknowledge extraordinary Atlanta professionals who excel in their careers as well as give back to the community", expressed Lori Manns, Founder of LHTYF. The evening will also feature a gourmet dinner buffet, delectable desserts, silent auction and door prizes, culminating with live musical entertainment.
