Nov. 14, 2011 - PRLog -- Dayton, Ohio, The Dayton Dutch Lions (DDL FC) professional soccer team are holding open try-outs for the 2012 season on Saturday, November 19th, 2011, from 11 A.M. until 5 P.M., at Springboro High School Stadium, located at 1675 South Main Street, Springboro, Ohio, 45066.  

The Dayton Dutch Lions FC will be seeking 15-20 players for both the Men's PRO and the Super 20 Team 2012.  Interested parties can register online at, and follow the links to the try-out USL Pro Team page.  The registration fee for try-outs is $110 prior to November 17th, and $125 through November 19th.

Dayton Dutch Lions FC coach Koen Driessen said, “These open try-outs are the first held in the United States for the 2012 season. DDL FC is looking for outstanding players, with the right mentality and a strong motivation that might be a great asset to the USL Pro Men's 2012 roster.”  

The Dayton Dutch Lions FC is a professional soccer team that is affiliated with the United Soccer League.  The team established its presence in Dayton, Ohio in 2009, and fielded teams in both the 2010 and 2011 seasons.

The Dayton Dutch Lions FC also oversees the Dutch Lions Youth Academy, with the goal of developing future professional players using the Dutch youth development philosophy, which stresses an attractive, dominating style of soccer. The Dayton Dutch Lions FC wants to be the leading institute in the Great Lakes region for developing soccer players. Consistent with the Dutch philosophy of educating youth soccer players, the Dutch Lions FC program strives to enhance the growth of young men and women on the field, through their tactical and technical development and off the field through intellectual, moral, social and physical growth.
