Queen City Classic Men's Basketball Showcase

Nov. 14, 2011 - PRLog -- Queen City Preparatory Academy will host the Queen City Classic Men's Basketball Showcase on Friday and Saturday, November 25 & 26, 2011 at the Albemarle Road Recreation Center, 5027 Idlewild Road North, Charlotte, NC 28227. The showcase will feature national men's basketball programs from across the country gathering in Charlotte during the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend to showcase their skills, talents and abilities to Division I, II & III college basketball programs.  This event is expected to draw college coaches from all over the country as some of the top ranked basketball players in the country will be in attendance and ready to show their skills.

Arnold Okechukwu, #51, 6'10 Center for Queen City Prep. Currently being recruited by Johnson C. Smith, Vanderbilt, Toledo, Western Kentucky, George Mason and Cincinnati.

Tarik Phillip, #12, 6'3 Point Guard for Queen City Prep.  Currently being recruited by Nebraska, North Carolina Central, North Carolina A & T, Ole Miss, and Toledo.

Joshua Linson, #2, 6'1 Shooting Guard for Queen City Prep.  Currently being recruited by Mountain State, Johnson C. Smith, UNC-Pembroke, Toledo, and Pfeiffer. Holds the current Queen City Prep record for 7 3-point shots in one game.

Terrell Owens, #23, 6'8 Forward for Queen City Prep.  Currently being recruited by Johnson C. Smith and Bethune-Cookman.

Joseph Moorer, #22, 6'0 Point Guard for Queen City Prep.  Currently being recruited by UC-Riverside and UNC-Pembroke.

Devin Spann, #1, 6'2 Point Guard for Queen City Prep.  Currently being recruited by Morehouse College and UNC-Pembroke.

Joshua Kirk, #11, Shooting Guard for Queen City Prep.  Currently being recruited by Morehouse College.

Games begin on Friday, November 25, 2011 at 10:30am and on Saturday, November 26th at 9:00am.  Admission is $10 for adults for an all day pass; $5 for students with school I.D.  Children under 12 are free.
