Proceeds Premier Designs acquires to go to not-for-profit Animals for Life, Inc. in Middlebury, CT.
By: Pet Aesthetics Begasse explained, “We are co-hosting this event to bring holiday shopping ease to our clientele throughout the Southbury, Woodbury, Tribury region. In addition to our in-shop retail boutique for pets, Premier Designs offers beautiful jewelry for pet owners and others that include a large variety of vintage selections.” Pet Aesthetics is both a pet grooming salon and a gift and natural foods supplies boutique located two doors down from the Hen of the Woods café and restaurant in the Bennett Square Plaza. “We offer a very caring, holistic approach to grooming and the health of the animals that are brought into our pet-centered environment and grooming salon,” stated Begasse. “In our retail boutique, customers will find all-natural organic food selections, plus treats and toys for their pets. For the winter, we’re now carrying reversible pet scarves by Jamba Dog, and back by popular demand we are featuring holiday-themed bakery items.” An active participant in the Southbury area community, Pet Aesthetics helped raise $1,185 for the Northwest regional chapter of Special Olympics of Connecticut during the August 21, 2011 Third Annual Dog Eating Contest that was held at Leo’s Restaurant in Southbury. “It was a hot day and an intense, quick event hosted on the front lawn of in Leo’s Restaurant. We drew a lot of attention because the lawn is right on the Main Street South,” recalled Begasse. “The event had a great turn out, and it was well worth the ambition to help raise money for the Special Olympics.” During the November 29th “Bling for Paws” evening, Pet Aesthetics and Premier Design will offer their guests light snacks and drinks that will be provided by Southbury Food Center, Lake Wine and Spirits, Hen of the Woods, The Flour Garden Bakery, and McLaughlin Vineyards. “Everyone is welcomed to join us,” stated Begasse. “We hope the community will come out and join us for a relaxed evening of holiday shopping for people and pets at Pet Aesthetics.” Premier Designs’ owner Jennifer Caraglior will also donate all proceeds she receives during the December 3rd Holiday Adoption and Bazaar to Animals For Life, Inc. in Middlebury. She will donate the proceeds she receives from her booth exhibit at the Animals for Life Holiday Adoption and Bazaar at Nonnewaug High School at 5 Minortown Road in Woodbury on Saturday, December 3, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will include photos with Santa Dog, raffle prizes, bake sale, music and vendors.
