| ![]() Havebury invests in web presence to improve tenant accessibilityHavebury has launched a new website to make information about its services more accessible to the tenants of its 6,000 homes.
By: Mosaic Publicity Amongst the website’s new features is a search function where tenants can input basic housing information in order to find out the details of their Neighbourhood Co-ordinator and Ranger plus their Rent Advisor. Havebury Chief Executive Karen Mayhew said the partnership had considered the needs of its tenants very carefully throughout the design and build of the new website. She said: “Our new site is a shop window of all the services we provide for our tenants, and it was very important for us to ensure that they had easy access to the information that they need. “We have always been a very transparent organisation, so we have made sure that our organisational policies are available on our website, as well as information about the ways in which we are independently assessed. This includes reports from our Performance and Scrutiny Panel which reviews our performance on a regular basis.” Mrs Mayhew added that tenants can use the website to report repairs and anti-social behaviour, as well as keeping up-to-date on the partnership’ “There are also links to our social media channels as well as many other ways for tenants to contact us,” she said. “We are hopeful that this new site will be warmly welcomed by our tenants, and we would be grateful for any feedback they may have.” Havebury has also announced the launch of a new 0300 number which will make it more cost effective for tenants to contact the partnership to report a repair, pay their rent or speak to their Neighbourhood Advisor. Ringing 0300 33 00 900 will cost the same as calling a regular telephone number – and is included in free inclusive call packages, even on mobiles. The new number will be phased in over time, replacing the existing 08456 123 851 and 08456 123 852 numbers. Havebury, which has offices in Haverhill and Bury St Edmunds, is dedicated to serving both the existing and future housing needs of people in West Suffolk and parts of Cambridge. A charity and not-for-profit association, it currently manages 6,000 homes.
