Local charity hosting festive cookery school days

Nov. 14, 2011 - PRLog -- The charity is offering adults with learning disabilities the opportunity to come along and try their hand at making mince pies and rum truffles, and have a go at decorating Christmas biscuits or a mouth-watering chocolate log! Visitors to the event will be able to keep the recipe cards from the day, enabling them to recreate the sweet treats over and over again.

Ruth Barton, event organiser, says, 'I'm really looking forward to welcoming everyone and getting cooking on the days. £5 for those under the age of 24 is great value. There's nothing quite like a bit of festive cooking to get you in the mood for Christmas. Places are filling up on both sessions, so book early to make sure can attend!'

Visitors to the Christmas Cookery School will be able to attend on either Saturday 26th November, or Saturday 3rd December from 9:15am – 12:15pm, at Needham Market Middle School, School Street, Needham Market, IP6 8BB. The event is proving popular, so keen bakers should book their place by booking early. Tickets for each session cost £16 for over 24s, and £5 for under 24s (subsidised by Activities Unlimited).
