Urban League Announces Employment Coaching Workshops

Nov. 12, 2011 - PRLog -- Urban League of Essex County Sponsors Employment Coaching Workshops with New York Life Investment Management

Newark, NJ - Approximately twenty individuals convened at the Urban League of Essex County Employement Center on today and partcipated in the first of ten Employment Coaching Workshops presented by Ashley Thomas-Brown of New York Life Investment Management. The workshop series are designed to help individuals identify specific skills required for employment and equip them with the tools to achieve employment. Session I focused evaluating strengths and weaknesses, addressing individual life goals and previous job experience and social networks impact on the hiring process.

Ashley Thomas-Brown stated, "I feel compelled to reach out and assist others in this difficult economic climate. Our company is committed to making a difference in the lives of those we serve in the community. The Urban League has been a leader in empowering individuals for over a century, so it was only natural to partner with them in this way.."
