Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation Expands Physician Network with
Three New Specialists in San Francisco

         
(San Francisco, Nov. 10, 2011) – Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation, part of the Sutter Health network, announced today the addition of three new physicians to its roster of physicians available in San Francisco. The additions include neurologists Charlene Chen, M.D., Christine Wong, M.D., and pediatric cardiologist Ellen Chan, M.D.

Charlene Chen, M.D., a board-certified neurologist, received her medical degree from the School of Medicine, University of California at San Francisco (UCSF). She completed an internship at Stanford University Medical Center, and a residency and a fellowship at Stanford University Hospital and Clinics. Her professional interests include stroke, neurocritical care, anoxic brain injury after cardiac arrest and therapeutic hypothermia. Christine Wong, M.D., is a board-certified neurologist with offices at Castro and Duboce, 175 A Level South Tower in San Francisco. She received her medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine. She completed an internship at California Pacific Medical Center; a residency at the David Geffen School of Medicine, University of California at Los Angeles and a fellowship at the University of California at San Francisco. Ellen L. Chan, M.D., is board-certified in pediatric cardiology and pediatrics. She joins the Foundation as a specialist in pediatric cardiology providing care to pediatric patients at California Pacific Medical Center and the St. Luke’s Campus in San Francisco. Dr. Chan received a medical degree from University of Nebraska College of Medicine in Omaha. She completed an internship and residency at Hasbro Children’s Hospital, Brown Medical School. Dr. Chan also completed a pediatric cardiology fellowship at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles and an advanced pediatric cardiology fellowship in imaging at Lucile Salter Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford.
