Mailtraq Email Server Software for Windows Introduces New IMAP Service

Nov. 10, 2011 - PRLog -- Mailtraq Windows email server software has introduced a new IMAP service that significantly increases performance over previous versions. The new service is currently available in pre-release builds of Mailtraq 2.17

This latest IMAP emali service has improved IMAP standards conformance and  optimized IMAP performance.  There has been an improvement so that the IMAP Cache will continue loading even when the email client  disconnects so that caching will continue.  IMAP IDLE now has explicit timeout rather than checking for socket timeout which optimizes the IMAP email service for use on cell networks.

There have been further improvements to optimize the IMAP email server asynchronous notification system and to process queued notifications at the start of  the IDLE operation. All these improvements, plus significant behind the scenes changes all add up to a significant improvement in IMAP performance on all clients.

The IMAP email service now  supports the Macintosh mail.app, and further improvements to Mailtraq email server software include support the new HTTPS service for iOS5 compatability, and updated SyncML Device Information for Android   Funambol v10 compatibility.
