How FMC Verifi™ Detector Works
The new FMC bed bug detector works using three modes of action, making it the only bed bug monitor of its kind.  The FMC Bed Bug Detector uses a combination of a Carbon Dioxide (CO2) cartridge that simulates a person in bed (or bed bug host), along with 2 liquid lures that play on bed bug instincts.  One is a aggregation pheromone that stimulates the bugs to congregate together at the location where the detector is located.  The other lure is called a kairomone, which is like a beacon, signaling other bed bugs where there is a food source, enticing them to come "and check it out".
