San Diego, CA, 11/08/2011-San Diego based branding and marketing company Lokalete launched their website www.lokalete.com. Lokalete is the online marketplace to find and purchase one-off logo merchandise from small businesses such as well-known dive bars, eateries, and other cult-favorite establishments. Lokalete serves as a branding partner for these establishments by making designer one-off t-shirts with their logos and selling them online.  Participating businesses are then paid royalties and/or commissions for the sale.

Their primary “full service” merchandizing option includes one-off printing and fulfillment, though the company also offers logistics and e-commerce services to businesses that already have their own branded merchandise.

Lokalete began in 2011 when the cofounders saw an opportunity to be creative on many levels by using t-shirts as a canvas to display and market logos of their favorite establishments. “There are so many unique local businesses out there,” said IT Director, Collin Krawll. “Lokalete helps promote their brands while giving consumer’s fashionable apparel that actually means and represents something.”

The Lokalete founders devised a unique revenue sharing business model where each business gets paid royalties and commissions every time an item is purchased from their site, so essentially each business gets paid to market themselves. “We’ve been amazed at the response that we’ve been getting both from consumers and small businesses,” says Luke Mahoney, Sales Director.  “Everyone loves to support local businesses and the businesses feed off of the positive energy.”

Lokalete also took it one step further by offering custom QR code stickers to each participating business. That way the establishment owners can have instant gratification and look to offer incentives to customers for merchandise purchases in house.
