Follow on Google News | Veterans to be Honored Throughout America and Overseas with Wreaths of MaineWreaths of Maine, a wreath-making company that sells in all 50 states, announced today an offer to honor veterans and those currently serving our country.
By: Wreaths of Maine Those making shipments to countries such as Afghanistan, Kuwait, or South Korea can benefit from the special from now until November 11th, 11:59 p.m. EST through the Wreaths of Maine website, http://www.wreathsofmaine.com. “As we approach the season of giving, Wreaths of Maine wanted to do its part in honoring the gift that veterans have given, as well as the gift that those who are currently putting so much on the line give every day,” comments David Karas, owner of Wreaths of Maine, regarding the reason for this newly implemented campaign. “This is our way of recognizing their ultimate contribution.” Wreaths of Maine is located in a town that has been making festive wreaths since the 1700’s, when the first German settlers arrived; the family currently running the business has been doing so since 1982. Although Wreaths of Maine sells directly to buyers, most of the wreaths are sold by homeschooled children in efforts to cover educational expenses. “The first time we ever shipped wreaths overseas was to military families at Lakenheath Air Force Base in England,” says David Kara. “The wreaths had been sold by homeschoolers whose father was serving there. Since then, as people moved around, our wreaths continued to be a part of their Christmas tradition wherever they were stationed.” Thus far, over $250,000 in commission has gone toward the fundraising efforts of homeschooled children, with that amount growing each year during the holiday season. In addition to homeschool groups, Wreaths of Maine has collaborated with church groups, athletic clubs, and private and public schools. Those who take advantage of this special can rest assured that their deliveries will arrive fresh to their destinations, in decorative boxes, including personalized cards and attached hangers. Wreaths of Maine plans to launch more specials throughout the end of the year. Customers can look forward to the Early Bird, Black Friday, and Holiday Red special in November alone, with Christmas specials starting as soon as December 4th.
