Two Porsche Vehicles Given Away At 2011 SEMA Show
The Continental Tire Dream Giveaway award ceremony took place during the SEMA Show last week. Henry Biedrzycki from North Carolina, won two cars through a sweepstakes to raise funds to help support seriously ill children.
The first half of the prize package was the 2011 Hurley Haywood Edition Porsche 911 GT3; a one-of-a-kind, Serial #1 of 1 vehicle created specifically for the giveaway. The second was a 2011 Porsche Cayenne S Hybrid; an award winning, luxury SUV. The keys for both vehicles were personally handed to Biedrzycki by Travis Roffler, Marketing Director for Continental Tires.
Robert Preston and Robert Preston Jr. from WorldCause Foundation and Sarah Gurtis from Camp Boggy Creek -- -- as well as numerous Continental Tire, Grand-Am Road Racing and Dream Giveaway representatives attended the award ceremony. Biedrzycki was joined by his wife Nancy and their three sons.
Biedrzycki first received the news that he won both Porsche vehicles via phone on October 19, 2011.
"Holy Mackerel," said Biedrzycki at the time, proclaiming this as “one of the best days of his life."
At the award ceremony,Biedrzycki was still in shock, "When I first got the call I thought one of my buddies was pulling a prank on me,” Biedrzycki said. “Then I began to realize that this was for real.”
As excited as Biedrzycki was at the award ceremony, he didn't forget the causes his donation went to support. As he addressed the audience after taking ownership of his two Porsche vehicles, he conveyed his support for Camp Boggy Creek and expressed how he was happy to help such a wonderful cause. Biedrzycki and his wife Nancy showed their continued support for Camp Boggy Creek by presenting them with a $5,000 check at the award ceremony.
Our Congratulations to Hank and our thanks for helping support Camp Boggy Creek and the 2011 Continental Tire Dream Giveaway!
