Motivation Monday for November 7, 2011 ~ If You Want Change in America ~ VOTE!

Nov. 6, 2011 - PRLog -- Tomorrow is Election Day!  While we continue to write about “taking action to make things happen,” there is no action more important in America than voting. Please make sure you get out to vote!  

In our history there are millions that have fought for the right to vote and there are millions that have fought for our right to vote. We dishonor all of them when we make the choice not to vote.  There is no greater opportunity to make change in America than Election Day.  

As we watch the Arab Spring and the fight for freedom and democracy around the world we should have a greater appreciation for the importance of voting and the privilege that has been given to us.

I have heard people say that they are not going to vote for one incumbent. That they will not re-elect one person.  A revolt against the “politics as usual” malaise that has frustrated many Americans. We have all heard by now the saying that you shouldn’t voice an opinion about the current circumstances if you haven’t voted.

This week’s Motivation Monday column is a simple one. Vote!

While everyone is focusing on next year’s Presidential Election already it is important that we get out and vote and encourage our friends, relatives and neighbors to vote.  Not whom to vote for, but to vote!  It is only then that our democracy can work to its fullest potential.  In the end America, it’s up to us!
